Monday, October 31st at 7:30pm
Join the Whistlers and the beasts for a special Halloween event - a staged reading of
Ubu Roi, Alfred Jarry's hilarious potty-mouthed take on Macbeth. Take part in our costume contest (and win a role in the reading!), have your fortune told, fight for donuts on a string and enjoy a host of fall treats!
Something Rotten - Hamlet...re-mixed
Monday, November 14th at 7:30pm
Five groups of artists have been randomly assigned an act from Hamlet, and are spending the next 6 weeks creating a response piece to that act - the only rule? No performing the act as written. Come see what playwrights, movement artists and shadow puppets can illuminate in the Bard's most famous play.
Featuring:
Vaquero Playground
Woellert and Clark
The Charlestown Working Theatre
New Exhibition Room
and Meron Langsner.
